A cute lil’ psychedelic dream rock band out of Nashville, TN. I have a lot of love for these boys.

I’m in LA and I wish I was in Nashville.
Those Darlins shocked, awed, and surprised us all at The Stone Fox Friday night. Those adjectives are something to expect when going to a Those Darlins show. We deem them Nashville’s most entertaining local bands for a reason, they are a band that keeps on giving. The crowd was full of die-hard fans and friends - which was perfect for the recording of their live album since they yelled, screamed, praised, danced, and threw roses at Those Darlins. Towards the end of the set, they welcomed Adia Victoria, Jamin’ from JEFF the Brotherhood, and Reese who works at The Stone Fox for a mix of Feliz Navidad and a punk mix. The crowd, basically, forced Those Darlins into an encore. They rushed on stage stating they did not plan for an encore. Churchyard & D. Watusi opened up the night.

So upset that I missed this.

Auld Lang Syne a lá Diarrhea Planet // 12/20 at The Masquerade, Atlanta. Thanks to Rian for the video 💖
Just saw my babies in Diarrhea Planet play here in Atlanta (my hometown) with the great dudes of Concord America.
Concord America is a band from Chamblee, GA, and they’re in the whole Weeks-Junior Astronomers-Heyrocco family. They just played Nashville but sadly I didn’t get to see them there, so I was glad to see the band at home. They freakin’ blew me away holy shit. Concord America forever.
No Regrets Coyote played right before Diarrhea Planet. They’re Nashville rockers as well. Fun fact: most of them are roomies with some of the DP dudes. They definitely damaged my hearing, but it was okay because their show was so cool. Lots of phasers.
Holy shit I was blown away. The last time that I saw Diarrhea Planet, I was standing on the stairs inside Exit/In looking down on them from the inner porch, and the place was packed. Exit/In is a relatively large venue…it holds close to 500. So seeing DP in Purgatory at The Masquerade was a whole other world. I got to rock out to “Ghost With a Boner” and my personal fave, “Raft Nasty,” up close and personal once again. It’s a rare thing when you go to a show, and leave wanting to listen to the band again. So we got in the car, and blasted Diarrhea Planet all the way home.
All of this Nashville in Atlanta made me want to get home that much faster.
Diarrhea Planet is playing their New Year’s Eve show with No Regrets Coyote, Richie, and the Protomen. Get your tickets now because it WILL sell out!!!
